I’m Amber, a wannabe writer born and bred in Atlanta, GA.

Currently, my sources of joy include exploring new places, reading books, building relationships and community, and creatively writing. Introspective and curious, I’m always open to learning and growing. Ultimately, my goal is to live a life centered in exploration, creativity, and authentic connection.

I hope that by sharing my authentic self and life experiences, I’ll create a space for open, honest and vulnerable conversation & community.

What is this?

This is my documentation of my journey toward self-fulfillment. The newsletters I publish here range from personal stories of healing to creative writing to expansion on random thoughts, usually with the aim of better understanding myself and the world. I’m especially interested in how our lives are shaped by outside influences — societal expectations, who others think we are, and often, who we think we “should” be. What does it really mean to unravel our lives from outside influences? And is reaching self-actualization — the complete self-fulfillment of our potential, abilities, and appreciation of life — even a thing?
